Stingers Investing in Local Community and Youth Programs in Malaysia

The Territory Stingers took time out from their Malaysian Hockey League preparations today to run a community clinic with kids from local primary schools as part of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation’s National Hockey Development Program (NHDP). Held at the iconic Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium, the clinic brought together young aspiring players aged 9 to 12 for a morning of fun, skill-building, and inspiration.

Saying “yes” to this event was easy for our organisation, but for me, it triggered a wave of memories and gratitude for what the Ronald McDonald House has done for my family during some of the hardest moments of our lives.

Darwin to Host the 2025 Oceania Cup as International Hockey Returns to the Northern Territory

Hockey NT is thrilled to announce that Darwin will proudly host the 2025 Oceania Cup, bringing international hockey back to the Top End for the first time in eight years. In  September 2025, the MWT Hockey Centre will be the stage for the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras as they face off against New Zealand’s Black Sticks, reigniting a fierce rivalry in a best of three Test match series that will determine qualification for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Leading these sessions with HNT are Indigenous coaches from the AOC, Olympian Hockeyroo Renee Taylor, and none other than Alice Springs’ own Kookaburra, Tom Wickham.
