Hockey NT Announces Strategic Partnership with Asahi Lifestyle Beverages as Official Supplier of Non-Alcohol Beverages, Championing Sustainability and Community Engagement

Darwin, Northern Territory - November 8, 2024

Hockey Northern Territory (Hockey NT) is excited to announce a new partnership with Asahi Lifestyle Beverages, naming Asahi as the official supplier of non-alcohol beverages, featuring popular brands such as Pepsi, Gatorade, Solo, Schweppes, and Coolridge Water. This partnership ensures a variety of quality beverages for Hockey NT’s events and facilities while reflecting both organisations' commitment to advancing sustainable practices and community impact across the Northern Territory.

Asahi Lifestyle Beverages’ ambitious environmental goals align closely with Hockey NT’s values, as both organisations strive for a healthier and more sustainable future. Asahi is committed to reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2025. Its extensive recycling initiatives, including Australia's largest PET recycling plant, help convert 1 billion plastic bottles into new, recycled PET annually.

Asahi’s solar-powered initiatives and eco-friendly packaging efforts resonate with Hockey NT’s mission to advocate for sustainable living, including a goal of 100% recyclable, reusable, or compostable packaging by 2025, which will be reflected in Hockey NT events as they promote eco-friendly practices in the Territory.

Through this partnership, Asahi Lifestyle Beverages and Hockey NT aim to inspire positive change and engage the community in sustainable initiatives that benefit both the environment and future generations.
