Hockey NT: Investing in Global Impact & Supporting Underserved Communities đđ
Hockey NT continues to invest in making a difference internationally, using hockey as a vehicle for change in underserved communities. We are incredibly proud to support our Board Member, PJ Mabasa, in his inspiring work introducing hockey to young people in Uganda.
Travelling with the Mission Abundance Foundation, PJ worked with children and teachers, delivering the Hookin2Hockey program and using the sport to inspire, educate, and create new opportunities. Through this initiative, he helped bring joy, confidence, and valuable life skills to communities with limited access to structured sporting programs.
"The children have an indescribable impact on your perspective, teaching you the true meaning of hope and commitment at a new level." – PJ Mabasa
This initiative was made possible through Mission Abundance Foundation, along with the dedicated support of BCM and KCM, whose ongoing efforts in Uganda uplift communities through education, health, and development programs. Hockey NT and Alice Springs Hockey Association are proud to have played a small part in supporting PJ on this journey.
As we continue to expand hockey's reach, we remain committed to empowering communities, creating opportunities, and growing the game where it’s needed most.
