NT Trio Selected for Australian U16 Joeys European Development Tour

Hockey Northern Territory is proud to announce that three young athletes from the Northern Territory—Charlie Beath, Maya Nunn, and Niesha Casimiro—have been selected in the 2025 U16 European Development Tour. Their selection follows outstanding performances at the U16 Nationals in Hobart earlier this year.

The European Development Tour presents a significant opportunity for these talented players to compete against top U16 teams from Europe, including those from Holland, Belgium, Germany, and Spain. As members of Hockey NT’s Futures program, their selection highlights the success of Hockey NT’s development programs in nurturing local talent.

Michelle Caden, Technical Director of Hockey NT, expressed her pride in the athletes, stating, "The selection of these athletes is a reflection of their hard work and the quality of our development programs. We will continue to create opportunities for our athletes to chase their dreams—what an exceptional experience this will be.”

The tour will see the NT trio competing against elite teams in Europe, further honing their skills under the guidance of top coaches. This selection is a significant achievement for the NT hockey community, demonstrating the progress and strength of the region’s development efforts.
