Stingers Investing in Local Community and Youth Programs in Malaysia

The Territory Stingers took time out from their Malaysian Hockey League preparations today to run a community clinic with kids from local primary schools as part of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation’s National Hockey Development Program (NHDP). Held at the iconic Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium, the clinic brought together young aspiring players aged 9 to 12 for a morning of fun, skill-building, and inspiration.

Northern Territory Government Backs Territory Stingers’ 2025 Malaysian Hockey League Venture

The Northern Territory Government will support the Territory Stingers with $150,000 in funding as they prepare to compete in the 2025 Malaysian Hockey League (MHL). This significant support will enhance the Stingers’ ability to represent both the Northern Territory and Australia in a premier international hockey competition, strengthen their development programs, and reinforce their role as ambassadors of the region’s rich heritage, multicultural diversity, and Indigenous identity.

Territory Stinger Elle Richardsons reflection: How Ronald McDonald House Supported Us Through Our Toughest Times

My name is Elle Richardson. I am a current Territory Stingers player and an employee at Hockey NT. This month, Hockey NT is excited to participate in the 2024 McHappy Day on Saturday, November 16th, an initiative that raises money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Saying “yes” to this event was easy for our organisation, but for me, it triggered a wave of memories and gratitude for what the Ronald McDonald House has done for my family during some of the hardest moments of our lives.

Honouring a Territory Legend: Brooke Peris Retires, Leaving a Legacy for Future Generations

Hockey NT and the entire Territory community are proud to celebrate and honour the remarkable career of our very own Brooke Peris. A proud Ngarrawanji woman affectionately known as “Chookie,” Brooke has not only left an indelible mark on hockey but has been a shining star for Northern Territory sport, Indigenous Australians, inspiring countless athletes over her 13-year journey since her international debut in 2013.
